This year at WE20 the Women in Academia (WIA) committee was recognized with 2 professional mission awards: Best Practice - Professional Development & Professional Silver!
![]() Each day during WE20 the WIA Committee highlighted a few sessions during the virtual conference that might have been of interest to academic members of SWE. The complete schedule for the whole conference is available on the conference website. Since the content for WE20 is available in the virtual platform for a year, we have also archived those recommendations in the slides below for quick access at any time. If you have other suggestions for sessions, please comment below. WE19 is just over a week away! There is a lot going on in Anaheim this year and the WIA committee has come up with a few highlights to help you navigate the conference.
There are multiple collegiate competitions at WE19. Please stop by and support our collegiate members in the poster competition, team tech competition, Pepsico Student challenge, and the rapid fire presentations.
In addition to the sessions in the WIA track at WE19, the WIA committee has gone through the WE19 schedule looking for other sessions that may be of interest to academics. In addition to the sessions listed below, be sure to check out the sessions in other tracks such as Advocating for Change, K-12 Outreach, Inclusion and Cultural Awareness, Innovation and Disruption, Strategic Leadership and Women In Government and Military for other great sessions and panels.
